It's finally here! I got my workout in, showered, ate, and was ready to go a full hour early (my flight was at 2:30pm). My brother-in-law, Mike, offered to take me to the airport, so I took him up on it.

We woke up to some news about coordinated bombings in Sri Lanka (200+ people killed) at churches and hotels on Easter morning. So sad that anyone would think killing innocent people in the name of God was OK, especially in churches. I think the cruise ship will probably have to alter our itinerary because of this. We were planning on being there May 1st. Stay tuned on that.
Two suitcases and a backpack is what I settled on taking. I took this picture with my apple watch as the trigger. I think it turned out pretty good :)
First Stop - Las Vegas

Our flight was from Las Vegas, and since my sister, Leslie, lives there, I took a short Southwest flight to meet her to begin our trip together. Unfortunately, because of this, I had to pick up my bags at baggage claim, switch terminals, and transport my bags in a lot of elevators, across, roads, buildings, and a bus shuttle. Not an easy task considering I had 2 big bags (Thanks to Keri for convincing me to bring a backpack). I thought I would get to the gate way before Leslie, but she was walking away from checking in her bags when I saw her. Perfect timing!
Next Stop San Francisco
We made it to San Francisco on time with a 2 hour layover. Our flight was at 10:45pm, so we decided to have some dinner before we got on the plane (its a good thing too, because the food on the plane was less than to be desired, to say the least). We had some delicious Vietnamese Pho and split a spring roll.
Singapore
Our flight to Singapore is 16.5 hours long. We a little over half way through the flight as I write this. I've gotten maybe 5 hours sleep so far overall, which I think is pretty good. My legs are already sore from sitting. I can't wait to get there!
I hope everyone had a happy Easter!
